Seeing as the GT350R took the old model by such a close margin, I can’t wait to see what this makes of it.

Also, dat engine. LT7 direct injection 7.0L plz, or at least don’t skimp on power just because of the Corvette. They’ve got to do SOMETHING, what with the ZL1 already using the LT4.

I think it’s just going to be a more track-focused ZL1, as the bodywork seems the same aside from the canards on the front, the wheels, the giant wing and the “dark finish” taillights.

I looked these up before I replied the first time. It’s true the GT350R has a little deeper tread, but not much.

0.4" is a fuckton. Think about it, you’re taking a postcard sized contact patch and increasing it by almost 1/2", that at least makes up for the extra tread. Not to mention the front tires are wider as well, by ~1/4" iirc.

That’s a huge difference. The pirelli is just a better tire, the fact the ford is a little bigger on the rear is not that big a deal, and can honestly hinder its performance in fast transitions honestly.

Tires affect speed more than any other contributing factor. Which kills me. Would love to see a porsche 918 with those pirelli’s or the la ferrari go against the mclaren p1 with its trofeo’s. But no one has done it yet. Or hell even the old ford GT or carrera GT with trofeo’s just to see how much lap times improve due to tire technology advancements.
